Program Specifics

The Certified Kentucky Tourism Professional (CKTP) Program provides an opportunity for KTIA members to further develop and strengthen their professional careers while bettering their organization.  In early 2017, this program, which is open to all KTIA members, was revised and updated to ensure that it is delivering the highest level of value to all participants and to remain relevant in the ever changing world of the tourism industry.

Becoming a Certified Kentucky Tourism Professional is the next step in your tourism career and we invite you take advantage of the many educational opportunities within the program.  Participants in the newly revamped program will benefit from being equipped with the tools to succeed in the competitive travel industry and ultimately help demonstrate your commitment to excellence and professional development.  Other key and noteworthy benefits include:

  • Gaining extensive and invaluable knowledge in core components of the Kentucky travel industry as well as in tourism-related programs, organizations and government services
  • Enhanced career opportunities
  • Development of important contacts and relationships through the program's many networking opportunities
Upon completion of the program, graduates will receive their official Certified Kentucky Tourism Professional designation at KTIA's Annual Conference.
