Economic Impact

TOURISM GENERATES $11 BILLION IN ECONOMIC IMPACT YEARLY!

It is our Commonwealth's third largest industry.

Tourism employs more than 166,000 Kentuckians.   That works out to be nearly 1 in 10 of those employed in this state.   Plus, tourism jobs employ enough workers to fill Rupp Arena, one of the largest college basketball stadiums in the U.S. and home of the Kentucky Wildcats, more than seven times!

Tourism in Kentucky produces $3.3 Billion in salaries to our Kentucky citizens.   The taxes produced by tourism jobs saves every taxpayer in Kentucky $700 in additional taxes annually.

In just a few minutes, you’ll take a journey with one
Kentuckian to see a unique perspective on tourism.
You’ll be amazed at the impact the tourism industry
has on Kentucky.

Rated "E" for "Everyone enjoys the economics!"
