PRESIDENT/CEO - Hank Phillips

Email Hank

Hank served for five years as the Deputy Commissioner of the Kentucky Department of Travel and Tourism, where he worked to promote the state as a travel destination regionally, nationally and internationally. Previously, he served in several roles with the National Tour Association, including the association’s president. Hank has also served as the Senior Vice President of AMR Management Services, a Lexington based association management firm. Spare time includes photography and some very bad painting.  He's also a sports (spectator only!) and political junkie.

Email Sarah

Sarah joined KTIA as Program Director in September 2016. She comes to KTIA from Cornett, a Lexington advertising agency where she worked with clients such as the University of Kentucky, Keeneland and VisitLEX, among others. Prior to Cornett, she served as the Marketing Coordinator and previously as the Special Projects Assistant at Cardinal Hill Rehabilitation Hospital where she fell in love with non-profit work. Before that, Sarah worked in marketing for the Mid-South Fair in Memphis. She is a graduate of Rhodes College in Memphis, a Lexington native, and lives in Frankfort with her husband David and her dog Tallulah. Sarah loves music (especially Levon Helm and The Band), is a die hard Tayshaun Prince fan and is a sucker for a beautiful country drive.

Email Jeff

Jeff comes to KTIA from Buffalo Trace Distillery. He is retired from Kentucky State Police Forensic Laboratory, and has a background in chemistry, biology and physics, for which he has received international awards. He was also the director of the Commonwealth's breath alcohol maintenance program and provided instruction in alcohol toxicology - which makes him absolutely perfect for working in tourism! Jeff does some part-time acting, singing and plays the guitar. He is a pilot, an Eagle Scout and an avid camper.
