President & CEO

Hank served for five years as the Deputy Commissioner of the Kentucky Department of Tourism, where he worked to promote the state as a travel destination regionally, nationally and internationally. Previously, he served in several roles with the National Tour Association, including the association’s president. Hank has also served as the Senior Vice President of AMR Management Services, a Lexington based association management firm. A Centre College graduate, his spare time includes photography and some very bad painting.  He's also a sports (spectator only!) and political junkie.

Vice President

Sarah joined KTIA as Program Director in September 2016 and was named Vice President at the end of 2023. She came to KTIA from Cornett, a Lexington advertising agency where she worked with clients such as the University of Kentucky, Keeneland and VisitLEX, among others. Prior to Cornett, she served as the Marketing Coordinator and previously as the Special Projects Assistant at Cardinal Hill Rehabilitation Hospital where she fell in love with non-profit work. Before that, Sarah worked in marketing for the Mid-South Fair in Memphis. She is a graduate of Rhodes College in Memphis, a Lexington native, and lives in Lexington with her husband David and sons, William and John. Sarah loves music (especially Levon Helm and The Band), is a die hard Tayshaun Prince fan and is a sucker for a beautiful country drive.

Marketing & Membership Manager

Katherine came to KTIA as the Marketing and Membership Manager in 2023. Before joining the KTIA family, she served as an Event Manager with Churchill Downs Racetrack and worked behind the scenes of Derby 148 and Derby 149. She fostered an interest and education in all things Kentucky tourism while completing her Masters in Event Tourism at IUPUI. She gained experience in many facets of the hospitality and tourism industry. From a ski resort to an Indianapolis non-profit to a wedding venue, all gave her a unique perspective of placemaking, advocacy, and community. Katherine moved to Louisville from Petoskey, Michigan in 2021. In her spare time, she enjoys exploring everything Kentucky has to offer, riding and showing her horse, Glow, and trying new brunch spots.
